Study method:Annual representative surveys of the population over the age of 16 in the Federal Republic of Germany since 1987 (including the new Federal Länder since 1994)
Data acquisition method:
Computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI)
Selection procedure: Multi-stage sample (based on the ADM telephone sample system, random selection of persons in the household); dipropoortionately stratified sampling plan as regards age (16 to 44 year-olds: 2,561)
