The BZgA has been analysing the attitudes and behaviour of young people regarding sex education, sexuality and contraception for 25 years: the young people surveyed in first study of 1980 have become the parent generation of today’s young people. The most recent survey, conducted in 2005, continued the task of measuring trends: the current study is the sixth of its kind. This time a large sample of 2,497 young people aged between 14 and 17 and their parents were questioned.

Evaluation of the documentary “Liebe”
The Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung (BZgA) professionally accompanied the making of a documentary entitled “Liebe” (“Love”), which was commissioned by the Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR). In this film young people, who were selected as a result of their applications, talk about their very personal love stories.
Sex-education work with boys
In 1995 Reinhold Munding drew up an expert report on sex-education work with boys for the BZgA. How has work with boys developed since then and what concepts have proved themselves both in theory and in practice? These are questions that are all addressed in the second report.
Sexual pedagogic work with girls
In 1995 the BZgA commissioned an expert report on “sex-education work with girls”. The results of practical research as well as a search of the literature in 1998 showed changes in the size of the target group, the subjects and approaches etc., so that in 1999 a second report was commissioned.
