Survey time period

First interview series:
With pregnant teenagers in winter 1998/1999

Second interview series:
With teenage mothers in autumn/winter 1999/2000

Third interview series:
With young mothers and the majority of their partners in autumn 2000 – spring 2001

 

Target group

Mothers and mothers-to-be (under the age of 21); experts working with these young people.
 

 

Samples

First interview series:
45 mothers-to-be and two mothers between the ages of 14 and 20

Second interview series:
37 young mothers

Third interview series:
36 young mothers selected from previous samples (29 living in a relationship and 9 single women) and 20 partners of the young women
