Survey time period

15 July – 28 July 2004

Target group

Women and men with a university degree, who are of the age where they are in the end phase of family planning. Both the men and the women in the sample were taken from a ten-year group, but the women’s group was five years younger than the men’s group: the women were aged between 35 and 44 (inclusive) and the men between 40 and 49 (inclusive).

Samples

Women n = 500
Men n = 500

Methodological approach/research design

Telephone interviews with women and men in the defined target groups.

Multi-step selection process:
  • Increment value method to select households from current telephone directories
  • Randomization of the end digit to also include households that are not listed in the directories
  • Selection based on the defined age
